Email is one of the most popular and convenient means of business communication. Each day, even a medium-size company generates hundreds if not thousands of emails. Malicious insiders also actively use email, and while a big proportion of data leaks occur through email, without specialized software it’s almost impossible to track all email communications and detect data leakages in such an ocean of email messages.

SOLUTION

SearchInform MailController is used to capture email traffic at the network or endpoint level (by means of agent software). To ensure fast data retrieval, all sent messages are indexed. SearchInform MailController provides a sophisticated search engine that allows you to quickly detect leaks of sensitive data.

The software allows you to capture email communications effected through email clients (Microsoft Outlook, The Bat, Outlook Express и т.п.) or web mail (Gmail.com, Yahoo.com, Mail.ru, Yandex.ru, etc.). Mail server integration is also supported. The agent-based operation provides blocking and quarantine of suspicious email messages which can be retained in the quarantine or released to the recipient after being checked for information security violations.

• Capturing corporate email communications. Lets you control corporate email messages sent or received via any email clients.
• Capturing web mail messages. Lets you control email communications effected by means of free email services: Mail.ru, Yandex mail, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.
• Archive of all messages. The software indexes the contents of all captured messages (body text, attributes, attachments) and saves them in the storage thus creating a kind of archive of all corporate email communications. Even if the corporate mail server breaks down, all captured data can be restored.
• Extended search capabilities. You can run search across all incoming and outgoing messages using stemming and synonym rows. The software also supports attribute search and proximity search by phrases. Besides, the software client application supports search across multiple indexes at once, and given the specified period of time, automatically identifies indexes to search.
• Patented similar-content search. A text fragment is used as a search query. The system analyzes the captured data and displays the found messages in the order of relevance with the percentage of similarity indicated.
• Correspondence history. Lets you view all communications of an employee with a specific contact including social media chats. The system displays just the messages sent to or received from the given contact. All messages are displayed in chronological order.
• Scalability. Capable of processing huge volumes of data and traffic.
