Any employee having access to a local or shared network printer may use the printers to print out sensitive information and take the information on paper outside the workplace.

SOLUTION

SearchInform PrintController captures contents of the documents sent to printers (text and images). While preventing attempts to steal data, PrintController also gathers statistical information on local and network printer activity which helps you track employees who misuse the printer.

• Maintains an archive of printed documents. Contents of all documents that have been sent to printers are indexed and saved to the database. After that, the data becomes available for search and analysis.
• Using endpoint agents enables you to control not only network printers but also printing devices used locally on specific user workstations.
